In its unremitting efforts to spread Islam to billions of Internet users through social media outlets, smartphones, open-source social networking applications and tools popular with bloggers and website owners, the E-Da`wah Committee (EDC) has lately launched its Quran Radio plugin in WordPress content management system, Dr. Abdullah Al-Ajeel, chairman of E-Da`wah Committee affiliated to Al-Najat Charity Society, announced.

The Quran Radio plugin is the first WordPress plugin that allows you to add a widget that plays an online Radio station for the translation of the Quran in some 35 languages.

“Thanks to the great work of the EDC’s development team, it is the first WordPress plugin that allows users to easily share and listen online to the translation of the meaning of the Quran via the 24-hour streaming 35 stations powered by EDC,” Al-Ajeel said.

“It is worth noting that 19% of sites on the internet runs on WordPress, so a fifth of the internet is using WordPress with over 401 million people view more than 4.1 billion pages each month in 120 languages, Al-Ajeel added.

“And from the most popular websites that publish on WordPress.com is CNN.”

Al-Ajeel concluded: “this could be a good opportunity to ask our open-handed people for donating to the E-Da`wah Committee projects aimed at spreading the proper message of Islam.”

Through the Quran Radio 1.0 new features you can play 1 out of 35 translations of the Quran 24/7, add the player to the Widget or to the post, and you can control the display of the player.
